2019 NJ LEE UPDATE:
The New Jersey Civil Service Commission is expected to announce the long-awaited statewide Law Enforcement Exam known as the LEE on July 1, 2019. The exam has only been offered every three years, so serious candidates need to stay aware of the application period and look to reserve their seat in the CCS Test Prep® program. The schedule of courses for the 2019 LEE is below. In addition to reserving a seat in the prep class, important issues such as residency preference and where a candidate would like to be eligible to work are serious considerations and should be dealt with now, before the application period opens.
What titles does the NJ LEE Cover?
The LEE covers the following law enforcement titles: Municipal Police Officer, Campus Police Officer Recruit, County Police Officer, Park Police Officer, Police Officer Recruit Human Services, Police Officer Palisades Interstate Park, Sheriff’s Officer, County Correction Officer, and State Correction Officer Recruit Juvenile Justice.
The hiring lists are based specifically on the candidate’s test score from the LEE Exam. Prep is critical. Passing the exam or even achieving a reasonably high score is not good enough. Candidates must achieve exceptional scores to be among the top on any list. Those who prep and put the work in deservedly find themselves at the top of the lists.
Prep for the 2019 NJ LEE
CCS Test Prep® has scheduled two-day as well as three-evening seminars at convenient locations all around the state to provide candidates with an option that is perfect for them. Candidates can choose to prep early in August and then take advantage of review opportunities leading up to the time of the actual exam. Classes will be removed from the schedule as they close out. The early classes are highly recommended. They will obviously close out first. In 2016, several hundred candidates were turned away because they inquired to CCS Test Prep® too late after classes had closed out. This cycle, the schedule is being posted earlier to everyone a fair shot at getting a seat in a CCS Test Prep® class.
In addition to and beyond the in-class training for which the course fee applies, Chief David A. Paprota, Ed.D. (Ret.) will be providing students with the opportunity to reinforce their knowledge and enhance their abilities by accessing the CCS Test Prep® Online Learning Platform for FREE the days leading up to the actual test. The dozens of short online, automated quizzes are instantly score and have answer guides to provide students with instant feedback. The repetition and reinforcement provided by the online review in close proximity to the individual’s test greatly increases his or her confidence, knowledge, skills and abilities leading right up to test day. There is no program available that offers the advanced services of CCS Test Prep®.
