The New Jersey Civil Service Commission (NJCSC) has posted the formal Announcement and opened the online application portal for the 2023 NJ LEE. This is a significant change in the previous 3-year testing cycle, as the NJCSC has implemented annual NJ LEE testing. Only those departments/jurisdictions that "opted in" for this NJ LEE cycle are included. Any department/jurisdiction that did not opt in will simply extend the existing list from the 2022 NJ LEE cycle. Any candidate who tested in 2022 for a department/jurisdiction that has an announcement as part of this year's NJ LEE cycle will need to test again this year to be a part of that department's list once the 2023 results come out. Bergen County "Alternate Route Program" Exam Announced: The staff at the Bergen County Police Academy announced the application period for candidates wishing to compete for a slot in the police academy through the "Alternate Route Program." This is a tremendous opportunity for those who desire a career in law enforcement. The process is EXTREMELY competitive and begins with the administration of a very competitive written exam (scored) on Monday, March 7, 2022, followed by a physical agility assessment (scored) weeks later, and an oral panel interview (scored) likely held in April. New York State Police 2022 Entry-Level Trooper Examination Application Period Now Open! The New York State Police (NYSP) have announced their 2022 entry-level exam cycle and are processing applications right now at NYSP Application.
