Passaic County "Alternate Route Program" Exam Announced: The Director of the Passaic County Police Academy announced the application period for candidates wishing to compete for a slot in the police academy through the "Alternate Route Program." This is a tremendous opportunity for those who desire a career in law enforcement. The process is EXTREMELY competitive and begins with the administration of a very competitive written (scored) exam. The announcement indicates that applications for the Alternate Route Program (ARP) will be available on February 2, 2018, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Only 125 applications will be handed out on a first come first serve basis. The Maplewood Township Police Department (Essex County, NJ) has announced the agency's 2018 Entry-Level Police Officer Examination. Applications must be picked up at the police department beginning Monday, January 29th, 2018. Only the first 100 completed applications will be accepted. The deadline for online applications is set for Thursday, February 28, 2018. The Abington Township Civil Service Commission (PA) is once again accepting online applications for the March 10, 2018, administration of the Entry-Level Police Officer Examination. The deadline for online applications is set for Friday, February 23, 2018. The open-competitive exam is open to United States Citizens 21 years of age and older. The New Jersey Civil Service Commission currently has the EB Jacobs company under contract to administer the Law Enforcement Aptitude Battery (LEAB™) as the New Jersey Civil Service Commission Law Enforcement Exam (LEE) during the calendar Year 2018.
