Update (3/13/2019): The Recruitment personnel of the New Jersey State Police have announced that the formal online application period for the next competitive testing and selection process for NJSP Trooper candidates has been set. The application period is set to open on Monday, April 29, 2019 and close on Sunday, May 12, 2019.
The process begins with the submission of the online application during the open period. Once the applications are reviewed, eligible candidates will be invited to a physical assessment (push-ups, sit-ups, and 1.5 mile run). Those who pass the physical assessment then are invited (at a later date) to sit for a full day of written testing.
