The New Jersey State Police (NJSP) opened their application period on Sunday, March 28, 2021 for another open-competitive testing cycle. The online application period will close on Friday, April 23rd, 2021.
Once the NJSP short-form online application (via the portal) is properly submitted, the competitive process starts with a Physical Qualification Test (PQT) expected to be scheduled in May which includes only push-ups, sit-ups, and a 1.5 mile distance run. Only those candidates who pass the physical test will be permitted to move on to the written testing which is expected to be schedule for approximately a month after the completion of the PQT.
