|
PREP COURSE REGISTRATION CURRENTLY CLOSED
The officials at the Ocean County Police Chief’s Association held the 2021 Police Officer Exam testing cycle which is also used to select candidates for the competitive Alternate Route Program for the Ocean County Police Academy. Candidates were required to apply via PoliceApp.com by Saturday, August 14, 2021, for the test which was scheduled to be administered by the Ocean County Police Chief’s Association on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at 6 p.m.
In addition to the Alternate Route Program, the exam results are also used for those who thereafter apply for Special Police Officer positions within the participating police departments in Ocean County. This test is completely separate and unrelated to the NJ LEE Civil Service Exam. Prior to this non-civil service exam in Ocean County, the previous testing cycle was held in July of 2019 and no test was held in 2020. CCS Test Prep® has a prep program available to assist serious candidates in scoring high on the exam during the two weeks leading up to the actual test.
Why the Alternate Route Program?
The CCS Test Prep® Program is a very focused training course during which Chief David A. Paprota, Ed.D. (Ret.) works with students using an online platform for the two weeks leading up to the actual exam. Along with videos and instructional lessons, students have the ability to complete online practice quizzes which are instantly scored and include answer guides to ensure maximum retention and understanding. This focused approach has proven to be far superior to in-class lectures and has produced exceptional results.
The Ocean County Police Chief’s Association utilizes the New Jersey Association of Chiefs of Police (NJSACOP) exam services unit to administer the county-wide, non-civil service exam. The NJSACOP utilizes the I/O Solutions (IOS) National Criminal Justice Officer Selection Inventory (NCJOSI) written exam series. This is a very critically scored entry-level exam that has been proven to be very challenging as a competitive instrument. Most candidates take the exam over and over without ever achieving a sufficiently adequate score to be considered in any of the selection processes for which the exam series is utilized.
