Testing Update (5/21/2018): The national test-writing company, Industrial-Organization Solution (also known as I/O Solutions or IOS), now has a new entry-level law enforcement examination. This examination differs significantly from any other examination on the market and is an example of the evolution of non-cognitive and cognitive law enforcement testing.
This new exam is known as the Next Generation Law Enforcement Aptitude Test (NGLE) and currently consists of 136 questions and is 3 hours and 15 minutes in length. The foundation and primary component of the test consists of 96 Situation Judgement (multiple-choice) questions. That section is followed by Reading Comprehension passages with 20 associated questions, then a 20 question English-Grammar section.
If any candidate learns that the jurisdiction for which they are testing is using the IOS Next Generation Law Enforcement Aptitude Test (NGLE), it is important to your success to contact Dr. Paprota of CCS Test Prep at [email protected].
This video was created by Dr. David A. Paprota, Ed.D. (Chief of Police, Ret.) to inform candidates about the new exam.
